Tore Djupedal moved to Germany in July 2010. He lives in a small flat in the suburbs of the "Kulturhauptstadt 2010" the Ruhr region. Within this culturally stimulating environment, Tore has been busy creating new exciting works. While he has trained himself in traditional photography techniques such as platinum and collodion prints, he is now working on a series of digital minimal pieces. He wants to make approachable art with this series. Telluride Gallery of Fine Arts in Colorado represents him in the US. He is currently looking for representation in Europe to exhibit his extraordinary work.

Djupedal's works were noteworthy, juxtaposing gestural fluidity with columns of brightly hued paint.

"Defying Gravity"
by Kathy Anderson

"Ever since I was a young man I wanted nothing else but to be an artist," he said. "It seemed at that time like the finest kind of life. Creating objects of beauty and passion. A life of freedom. Intelligent articulate people. The ability to move vertically through society."
